Sara Clark - Intuitive Medium
First, tell us your name, where you’re from, and where you currently live.
My name is Sara Clark and I'm from the greater Edmonton area (Alberta, Canada). I currently live on an acreage near Spruce Grove with my husband, son and dog.
At what age did you first realize you were able to communicate with Spirit and receive intuitive information for others? What was that experience like for you?
When I was around the age of six we lived on an acreage near Wabamun, Alberta. I remember looking out my bedroom window and seeing what I could only describe now as angels walking around outside. They weren't really “walking” though, they were kind of gliding. There was no thump or weight bearing to their steps. What I still find interesting about this memory is that it felt normal- I didn’t question it. As children I think we have innate blind faith/trust which is what we need to achieve spiritual sovereignty and I believe being spiritually sovereign is required for clear communication with the universe/source/God. As I grew older I started to shut this part of me down. I wanted to fit in and “be cool”. I don't think that was ever achieved so that was a total waste of time haha!
Over the years and into my twenties I would have experiences that I would now describe as reminders- spirit was always knocking and making sure I didn't forget about my purpose in this lifetime. When I was 30 I had my son and that's when everything came back and I was no longer able to ignore the call-nor did I want to. What I find interesting now about being a professional psychic medium and the space between now and my first experiences as a child is that I realized I was always receiving intuitive information. I was always giving people advice that I now see was divinely guided. So to answer the question I knew I had gifts since I was 6 but I didn't start practising until I was 31 and I think the timing was exactly how it was supposed to be.
How has staying true to your own vision contributed to your journey? Have there been any downsides to doing so?
I've always had a natural curiosity for understanding “the point of being here” or “what is the message behind this experience” and I'm grateful for that because it hasn't kept me planted in one idea. I've given myself a lot of space to explore and try on different hats for what I feel aligns with my beliefs. One thing that has remained a constant belief for me is if what I am doing is heart centered/spirit led then I will be divinely guided into whatever is planned for me. I wouldn't say there is a downside to this but what I would say is that sometimes you get in your own head and you want to take the steering wheel, and that is the hardest part- relinquishing the control you THINK you have. I believe that control is an illusion which disguises fear. And once you really understand this, you can begin to dismantle the walls you've surrounded yourself with. What comes after? Freedom! So the “downside” would be the “work” that comes with evolving but I don't necessarily view it as bad- more so just challenging at times.
What are some of the influences that continue to drive your purpose?
Serving spirit and helping people is what drives me. I'm deeply honored to serve spirit everyday and with that I get to help facilitate healing for people.
What is your greatest joy in being a Psychic Medium?
IT'S SO MIRACULOUS!! I'm still in awe of how miraculous this work is. From how Spirit gets messages across in readings to all of the signs and symbols they use to communicate with us as we go about our days. I get so amped up on how loving and supportive the world of spirit is. I wish everyone had this perspective.
Are there any fears that still challenge you when channeling and connecting with Spirit?
Yes, sometimes when readings aren't as clear as they normally are it can be a bit challenging. However, I've learned that while it's a little stressful- it's always for a reason. Spirit is constantly having us grow and learn new things so now when I have moments that aren't as clear and easy I trust it's because I'm learning something new- something I wasn't aware of before- for example: a new symbol to use. Knowing this doesn't take away the stress completely but it definitely takes the edge off and allows for rationalizing rather than spiraling.
What is your process like when working with someone, and are there any variables that contribute to the clarity of what comes through or your ability to communicate with Spirit?
Before someone comes for a session I like to ask them to talk to their passed loved ones to create more of a “need” for communication. I find this helps build a stronger link between myself, the spirits and the client. For myself, I have conversations with my spirit guides and ask them to help facilitate bringing the passed loved ones forward that are needed most at this time and to help with any parts of the communication so that the client gets the highest quality of healing messages possible. I believe that Mediums should be mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy to be the clearest conduit they can be. That doesn't mean we aren't good spirit communicators if we are going through things- but we do need to take care of ourselves. We are the tool and tools need to be maintained and looked after.
The people who come to you for guidance and insight — what do they mean to you?
I like to treat everyone like they are my best friend. I believe we are all connected and everyone deserves to feel important, supported and cared for. If we could all lead with love imagine how different this world would be. I truly believe that if you give love and kindness to someone then that person will then have more capacity to give love. There's a ripple effect in loving exchanges that's bigger than we can comprehend.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
A number of things inspire me to get out of bed everyday. My family is number one, my job as a psychic/ medium is second and third would be my coffee addiction (LOL). My family is everything to me and I wouldn't be where I am today if it weren't for their support. As for working as a psychic medium- I get to help bring healing into people's lives and with how disconnected we are as a society I feel that this work is helping mend that disconnection.
When you’re not actively in purpose as a Psychic Medium, how do you spend your time?
I have a toddler so he keeps me quite busy and I love it. We like to try and spend a lot of time outdoors. As a family we do a lot of camping and quadding. My husband is into restoring cars so we like to go to car shows and we LOVE to go to the racetrack during the summers and watch the dragsters. And even though it's a lot of work I love planting my own garden full of vegetables, fruits, herbs, flowers, you name it!
What’s coming up next for you?
I fully opened up my business this year so right now I'm in client building mode and it's going well! I've made some great connections during this time - right now I'm collaborating with an intuitive healer - Crystal Kirkham. She and I are putting together some small events and healing packages. I also have been asked to do group readings so I imagine that will be coming down the pipeline in the next few months as well. Whatever the universe puts on my path, I will trust!
Is there anything else you’d like to share — upcoming offerings, recent projects, or anything else on the horizon?
As I mentioned above I'm collaborating with Crystal Kirkham Healing. We are putting together a package that is a 4 week healing container designed to have spirit led insights to uncover what is needed most and energy clearing/ intuitive healing. We've witnessed very positive results. It will be available in person or online very soon!
Thank you for sharing your time. We look forward to all that is to come from you.
